Some pilfered petals at a local Laundromat led Troopers to a ‘green’ thumb from Schodack.
Back on March 24, Troopers were alerted to a larceny that took place at the Sand Lake Dry-Cleaning and Laundromat on State Route 43. The manager reported someone swiped a silk flower arrangement from the Laundromat sometime between March 17-19. Video surveillance showed that on March 17, a woman wearing a green jacket took the $29 arrangement, police said. Along with Schodack Police, Troopers ID’d the woman.
Kathleen Lyte-Defiglio, 55, of Rensselaer, was found at her home and interviewed, admitting to the theft, which were in plain sight, police said. Lyte-Defiglio was arrested and processed at the State Police barracks in Schodack for petit larceny.
Lyte-Defiglio gave Troopers a voluntary statement and was released on an appearance ticket, due back in Town of Sand Lake Court on April 7, authorities said.
